Manna Ministries of Hattiesburg (MMOH) was founded by Bishop Abraham Yarbrough in the year 2000. Its
main purpose is to reach out to the many families in need not only Hattiesburg and the Pine Belt Area , but
worldwide and assist them wherever there is a need.
With the devastion of Hurricane Katriana, we suffered great losses and damage. Sfgn. Bishop
Yarbrough established 'Joseph Katrina Distribution' (J K D) along with his congregation provided food,
clothing, and shelter to many displaced families from Hattiesburg, the Pine Belt Area, New Orleans, and
the Mississippi Gulf Coast . Coutless hours were spent assisting families with transportation to various
agencies. Bishop is very prolific.
Sfgn.Bishop Yarbrough also established South Mississippi Development Corporation & Associates (SMIDCAS),
a non-profit, community-based organization whose primary purpose is to provide the following services, inclusive but
not limited to:
- Housing for low-and moderate-income families
- Senior day-care / nursing homes
- Youth Enrichment Programs / Youth Recreation Center
